Body-Mind Centering® Teacher, Integrative Psychotherapist (UKCP) & Community Artist/Workshop Facilitator
Mark has been moving, dancing and exploring the body through martial arts, contact improvisation and other dance forms for most of his life.
He teaches BMC®, Psychotherapy and Contact Improvisation in London and abroad, and offers workshops, lectures and group facilitation around embodiment, dance and mental health in Universities, the NHS and grassroots groups. Mark works as a psychotherapist and somatic movement educator, having studied Process Oriented Psychology and Body-Mind Centering®. His previous background is in community arts projects and performances (UK, US) with an MA in Community Arts (Goldsmiths), as well as mental health social work in the NHS. He is part of the faculty for Embody Move UK, the Institut für Prozessarbeit Deutschland and has done research around creative pedagogies as an associate with Kings College London UK.
With a passion for moving and dancing he continues to explore how embodiment relates to mental health, trauma, consciousness and social justice.
