GROUND
A five-weekend professional program exploring the body from the inside out.
Grounded Movement is a practical, immersive program for people who want to deepen their understanding of the body and bring embodied and somatic approaches into their work.
The program explores anatomy, developmental movement patterns and embodied awareness, drawing on the educational framework of Body-Mind Centering®.
It is playful, creative and anatomical combining experiential movement, observation, touch, enquiry and reflection.
FOR PEOPLE WHO WORK WITH BODIES
Ground is for people working across movement, yoga, dance, bodywork, therapy, education, performance, health and related fields, and for anyone with an established practice who wants to deepen their understanding of embodiment.
You don’t need to be a yoga teacher or movement professional.
You do need curiosity, a willingness to explore and an interest in learning through your own body.
WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE
ANATOMY
Experiencing anatomy through movement, sensation and attention.
DEVELOPMENTAL MOVEMENT
Exploring the patterns through which we develop, organise and move.
EMBODIED AWARENESS
Developing perception and a more detailed relationship with your own experience.
TOUCH & RELATIONSHIP
Exploring touch, support, boundaries and communication through the body.
MOVEMENT & CREATIVE ENQUIRY
Using movement as a way of investigating, discovering and learning.
INTEGRATION
Finding ways to bring this learning into your own professional practice.
